Allow Me to Lighten Your Load
My child My Son Jesus was teaching a crowd one day telling them not to be religious people. I am warning you this day – do not be like the religious people who impose upon others a rigid inflexible tiring system of doctrines, rules, regulations, beliefs, rituals, ceremonies, holy days, restrictions, religious practices, confessions, methods, and prescribed forms of worship and praise. (Matthew 23:2-8) Religious leaders impose harsh burdensome legalistic rules and cause you to be in bondage and they don’t practice what they teach. They crush people with unbearable religious demands and never lift a finger to ease the burden. Legalistic leaders only do what they do for show, loving to sit at the head table at banquets sitting in the seat of honor – they must have a title to hide behind exalting themselves, but they shut the door in the face of My people. They are hypocrites and much sorrow awaits them. Don’t follow their example!
Instead, seek an intimate personal relationship with Me and spend quiet time with Me so I can talk to you. I have so much I long to say to you. I tell you this day the greatest among all is those who serve and those who humble themselves I will exalt. (Matthew 23:11-13 NLT) Keep My commandments which were given to My servant Moses – My Word is God-breathed. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself. Love is the greatest command. You can speak in tongues, prophecy, give all your money to the poor, and do great miracles but I tell you if you do not have love, you are absolutely nothing.
My commands are not hard to keep. It grieves My heart when I see My people overloaded. (1 John 5: 1-5 NLY). My commands liberate you from the do’s and don’ts. My yoke is easy to bear, and My burden is light. If you are overloaded – come to Me and I will give you rest. Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30 NLT)
