A Well-Dressed Spiritual Warrior
Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:10-12 NLT)
Beloved one set aside time to do a wardrobe check this week to make sure you are prepared and have everything you need at a moment’s notice. Sometimes we are naïve about the kinds of spiritual structures or attacks that we face as Christians. (Ephesians 6) teaches us that we are to put on the whole armor of God to be successfully engaged in battle. (Ephesians 6:11) This week take some time for a wardrobe check and make sure you’re not missing anything vital that would leave you vulnerable to attack. Below is your checklist for a well-dressed spiritual warrior.
The Belt of Truth – Have any small dishonesties crept into your life? (Ephesians 6:14)
The Breastplate of Righteousness – Are you cooperating with grace to become more Christlike? (Ephesians 6:14)
The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace – The Gospel reconciles us to God, family, and others. Are you willing to receive the Word of God, live by the Word, and share it with others? (Ephesians 6:15)
The Shield of Faith – Are you responding to circumstances and opportunities for growth with faith? Are you reflecting to others, you don’t think God is as loving as He says He is?

The Helmet of Salvation – Salvation is a gift without ties. However, just as with any gift, it must be received.

The Sword of the Spirit – God’s Word wounds the enemy and thwarts his purposes. Reading scripture and praying helps to take the offensive position. (Ephesians 6:17)
Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, stand. Every challenge against the enemy, attack, addiction, healing, marriage, relationship, family, peace, protection, business, or job is an opportunity for you to grow spiritually. Seize it on your knees.
This is an instruction from the Lord on what to do when you are fully dressed, pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.

Pray with me:
Father God, I ask you to help me to be ready so that at any moment I can stand against the enemy and even deal with a decisive blow in the battle. Abba Father, please give me the courage, discernment, and wisdom to know what to do and when to do it. Strengthen me and help me to stay close to You in the middle of the fight on the authority of the Word of God in the all-powerful name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
