Recognize
My beloved child when there is a dis-ease in your life you need to stop and examine yourself to determine if there is a sin within. According to Henry Wright, eighty percent of all diseases are the fruit of participating in the sin that is within! Stop today and identify the root, the spiritual root, of any diagnosis of disease and come to a place of repentance. If you deal with what is at the root, the manifestation of the disease or sickness must leave your body. The first step toward being free is Recognizing you have a problem. If you do not recognize the connection between your spirituality, your thoughts, and dis-ease then you can never be free. You must stop and recognize what is behind your bondage. You must learn to discern what is within you that is not of God. It will always manifest in thoughts, feelings, emotions, and direction. If you become one with something as if it were true you, God cannot heal you. Example: I have _____ disease or sickness. Do you embrace or own it? Paul taught in (Romans 8:15) fear is a spirit, but you are not a spirit of fear. God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity but of power, love, and self-discipline. (2 Timothy 1:7) You may have received a diagnosis of a disease, but you are not a disease, don’t come into agreement and own the diagnosis.
God is bigger than any sickness or disease! He is Jehovah Raphe our healer! The God who has healed is in the process of healing and will heal and restore to health. (Exodus 15:26) Many times we think of healing solely on the physical level; however, Jehovah Raphe is the God that heals on all levels- mentally, emotionally, spiritually, physically, relationally, and environmentally, just to name a few. I have seen God heal every form of cancer, heal backs, bones, emotional healing, heal broken marriages, etc. There is nothing too difficult or too hard for Almighty God. (Jeremiah 32:17) The first step to healing, deliverance, and freedom is to Recognize what is flowing within you that you have allowed to become part of who you are. Repent! Ask God to forgive you for allowing yourself to become a servant to sin. A living example of what Paul was talking about in (Romans 6:16) is, don’t you realize that you become the slave of whatever you choose to obey? You can be a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you can choose to obey God, which leads to righteous living. Your battle is not with flesh and blood. Your battle is against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, and spiritual wickedness in high places. (Ephesians 6:12)
The first thing you must do is Recognize what is behind your problem. (Proverbs 26:2) Like the sparrow in her wandering, like the swallow in her flying, so a curse without a cause cannot stick. The curse is the dis-ease and problems. Look for the door opened to give the enemy access. Perhaps it is a generational curse you inherited, that needs to be broken. Because of ignorance hell can access a believer. (Hosea 4:6) My people perish for lack of knowledge. God has called you to discern. Recognize the enemy comes to separate you from the Father and or the Holy Spirit. It is the Word of God that penetrates your joints and marrow and is a discerner of your thoughts and intents of your heart. (Hebrews 4:12) One of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit is discernment. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11) If I discern a spirit of fear, don’t say to me, ‘Oh that’s good to know then go take Prozac and pretend that spirit is not there anymore.
A spirit of fear is the root of 50% of all sickness and dis-ease. Men’s hearts fail them for fear. (Luke 21:26) Discernment involves Recognizing, and freedom involves understanding and removal. Take authority and dominion over that demonic spirit, sever it at the root, curse it, renounce it, and command it to go back to dry lands from whence it came in Jesus’ name. Release the Word of God in its place because it is the Word of God that has the power to deliver, save, heal, and restore you! Nothing is too big for our God! You cannot repent for something you don’t Recognize! You must Recognize for you to recover from the snare of the devil. (2 Timothy 2:24-26) Recognize the enemy and stop him in his tracks! Tell him to hit the road jack, and don’t you come back no more, no more, no more!
