The Greatness of God
He will judge the world with justice and rule the nations with fairness. The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. (Psalm 9:8-9 NLT)
Beloved one, ‘do you believe in God? Do you believe when you pray, God hears and answers your prayers?’ A Gallop Poll was done recently about faith in God in the United States, the good news is 80% of the people polled said, ‘yes they believe in God – but only 47% believe that God hears and answers their prayers!’ I love God’s Word; it assures us if we believe God hears and answers us when we pray and ask. (Psalms 91:11-16) says, for He will order His angels to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you up with their hands, so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone. You will trample upon lions and cobras; you will crush fierce lions and serpents under your feet! The Lord says, “I will rescue those who love Me. I will protect those who trust in My name. When they call on Me, I will answer; I will be with them in trouble. I will rescue and honor them. I will reward them with a long life and give them My salvation.” “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life, I will satisfy him and show him My salvation.” Think about that.
God, Himself is telling us that if we love Him, He will protect us, He’s with us in times of trouble, He will rescue and honor us, deliver us, give us a long life, and He will hear us when we call upon His name. My telephone number to Jesus is (Jeremiah 33:3 Message) “This is God’s Message, the God who made the earth, made it livable and lasting, known everywhere as God: ‘Call to Me and I will answer you. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.’ There are numerous scriptures throughout the Word of God that tells us God hears and answers our prayers. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted! (John 15:7) I will answer them before they even call Me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers! (Isaiah 65:24)
This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. (1 John 5;14-15) “Ask and Keep on asking,
and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8, Luke 11:9) “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. (John 16:23-24) In this scripture, Jesus is speaking. He’s telling His disciples in that day (when He is no longer on earth) you will ask Me (Jesus) for nothing, but you will ask the Father in My name (Jesus’ name) and He will give it to you. Ask, and you will receive that you may be full of joy! Stop what you’re doing and ask God for what you need! Then wait for Him to answer and document it as a ‘faith builder.’
