Grief from Loss

My precious child, during your hour of need in grief, and brokenness from loss, I am here to comfort you. I long to help you. You don’t have to beg or plead with Me. Simply ask—whisper My name, (Jesus) and I am there with you. When you are pressed on every side by troubles, whisper My name (Jesus). When you are astounded, and confusion tries to enter, whisper My name (Jesus). I will never abandon you! You may get knocked down, but you will not be destroyed, for I am with you. Perhaps you are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed – always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body. If this is where you are, go to a quiet place and be still! (2 Corinthians 4:7-11)

In peace and quietness, sit at My feet. Wrap your arms around the calves of My legs and lay your head in my lap, and I will heal you. Allow Me to love on you by running My fingers through your hair and gently across your face. Let the tears flow, for they are healing! With every stroke of My gentle hand comes your healing and restoration. Grief from loss is a normal part of life. All of Israel mourned for thirty days (the customary period of mourning) the deaths of Aaron. (Numbers 20:29) They mourned Moses’ death for three months, then got up and moved forward. (Deuteronomy 34:8)

So, it is with you and me today—when you suffer loss, and you are grieving (whether it be death, divorce, your job, or finances), the customary time of grieving is thirty days. If you lost a parent or child the grieving time may be up to one year, then after that, get up and move forward! To everything, there is a season, a time to be born, and a time to die. A time to weep and a time to laugh. A time to mourn and a time to dance. (Ecclesiastes 3:1-4) To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. (2 Corinthians 5:8) I the Lord your God understand loss; My Son gave His life for you, to be free of your sins so you can walk in liberty and freedom. I have a plan, and it is for good. Watch Me turn everything around—the sun will shine brightly in your world again soon! Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. (Matthew 5:4)
