Everyone Who Asks Receives
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. (Matthew 7:7-8 NLT)
My precious child what if you were not known to others by your name, but you were known by your medical condition? That was the case for the beggar who was born lame. Every morning his friends would come by, pick him up and take him to the temple gate called Beautiful. He would lay on the ground daily begging people for money for his survival daily, and at the end of the day, those same so-called friends would take a percentage out of his tin can for themselves that he had collected. Hmmm! Some friends I’d say!
Then one day along came Peter and John on their way into the temple to pray. They heard his cry for money and Peter offers him healing instead. Peter said, ‘Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give to you: in the name of Jesus Christ arise and walk!’ And Peter took him by the right hand and pulled him up and immediately his anklebones and feet received strength. He got up leaping, walking, and praising Me. The people in the temple stood in amazement and wonder at such a miracle and Peter asked them, ‘Why do you marvel at this?’ The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob did this, and he gave
Me the power to do miracles. (Acts 3:2-10 NKJV)
I know you need a miracle! I see your pain, and it moves My heart with great compassion. Reach out and touch Me, your Master as I walk by and ask Me for your healing. It is true, I know what you need before you ask, but My Word says, ‘Ask, and you shall receive, seek and you shall find, knock and the door will be opened unto you. You have not because you ask not. Don’t ask without faith for you will be just like a double-minded man unstable in all your ways. Draw close to Me, and I will draw near to you. (James 1:6-8) Your healing will come only by spending time with Me daily drawing close to Me!
