Pearls Are Valuable
My beloved child you are a treasured pearl, a highly valued gem by your King. Pearls were among the most precious of gems and were highly esteemed as ornaments in ancient days. You are a gemstone, a ‘pearl’ – valuable! “A pearl is a beautiful gem that is produced by an injured life. It is the tear [that results] from the injury of the oyster. The treasure of our being in this world is also produced by an injured life. If we had not been wounded, if we had not been injured, then we will not produce the pearl.”
The Kingdom of Heaven is compared to a merchant who is looking for ‘expensive pearls’, when he discovered a pearl of great value, he sold everything he owned and bought it. (Matthew 13:45-46) Pearls are used symbolically for anything of great value. Pearls are still found today in the Persian Gulf and near the coast of Ceylon, Java, Sumatra, and the Red Sea. Oysters grow in clusters on rocks in deep water, and the pearl is found just inside the shell caused by a tear or injury which is much like your life. The shell of the oyster is called the ‘mother of pearl’ which is of great value for ornamental purposes (jewelry). I take all the broken pieces of your life and make something beautiful and valuable of it. There are times that a single oyster shell can produce eight to twelve pearls in various sizes.
Think about all the broken areas in your life from the womb to this moment. I came to heal the brokenhearted and bind up or mend your wounds. (Isaiah 147:3) I am near the brokenhearted and I save those who are crushed in their spirit. (Psalms 34:18) Each broken area I heal and restore making that area a precious jewel. The areas you were broken the most are where I will use you to heal the best. I do not confer with your past to determine your future. I am a loving Father who desires so deeply to restore you and then use you to heal and restore those who are broken. (Luke 4:18-19) You are valuable to Me, and I paid a great price to heal and restore you from emotional brokenness. Come to Me! Come to your Heavenly Father, rest in My arms and I will restore the broken areas of your soul! The greater the pain – the greater your purpose!
