World Changer
My beloved, how do you change the world? One soul at a time! Don’t focus on the masses, pay attention to the one who is right in front of you. I have orchestrated for your lives to cross paths for a purpose. Remember Paul said, ‘I planted, Apollos watered but God gave the increase. It was Paul’s work given him to plant the seed of the kingdom; it was the work of Apollos to afterward water or cultivate the Christian plants which had come forth, but God gave the growth. He gave the seed its vitality to spring forth. It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work. For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building. (1 Corinthians 3:6-9 NLT)
You are a world changer and He created you to live in this time span because He has a purpose for you to impact the lives of others. Stay focused on your assignment and what God has called you to do. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how He did it.
1. Study the Bible. He said man shall not live by bread alone, but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4)
2. Guard your thoughts. Take every thought captive the minute the devil shoots a thought that doesn’t line up with the Bible immediately. (Proverbs 4:23, 2 Corinthians 10:5)
3. Watch your words. You are prophesying your future. (Psalms 141:3)
4. Invest in God-focused friendships. Jesus surrounded Himself with the twelve disciples, His inner circle. (Acts 1:24-25)
Jesus never lost sight of where He was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God – He could put up with anything along the way: the Cross, shame, betrayal, whatever. And now He’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves weak in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long List of hostility He plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls! Don’t lose sight of where you are headed. You are here to be a world changer! (Hebrews 12:2-3 Message)
