Dropsy
And there in front of Him was a man who had dropsy (extreme swelling). Then He took hold of the man and healed him and sent him on his way. (Luke 14:2,4 Amplified Bible)
My beloved child, do you have challenges with swelling in your hands, feet, ankles, legs, or arms? Do you have a loved one who has dropsy? I have great news for you! Dropsy in Greek means it is another name for edema, the abnormal swelling of tissues from a buildup of fluid. Dropsy sounds like it might be suggesting the “drooping” of swollen tissue, but in fact, it was formed from Latin and Middle English alterations of the Greek noun hydrōps, from the noun hydōr, meaning “water.” One day on the Sabbath, Jesus went for a meal at the house of one of the ruling Pharisees, they were watching Him closely and carefully [hoping to entrap Him]. (Luke 14:1)
Right there in front of Him was a man who had dropsy (extreme swelling). (Luke 14:2) And Jesus asked the lawyers and the Pharisees, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath, or not?” (Luke 14:3) However, they kept silent. Then He took hold of the man and healed him and sent him on his way. (Luke 14:4) Then He said to them, “Which one of you, having a son or an ox that falls into a well, will not immediately pull him out on the Sabbath day?” (Luke 14:5) So they were unable to reply to this. (Luke 14:6) Dropsy is one of the miracles of Jesus in the Gospels. He can heal abnormal swelling in your body. Spirit of infirmity specifically dropsy I command you to go in Jesus’ name. Body I speak to you, ‘get in alignment with the Word of God.’ By your faith, be thou made whole in Jesus’ name!
Pray this with me:
Father God, we come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16) On the authority of the Word of God, I speak to dropsy/edema, and I command you the spirit of infirmity – leave my body. The same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is operating in me. (Romans 6:10-11) I am not moved by what I see; I walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7) Father God, I trust you as Jehovah Raphe the Great Physician to heal me. I declare and decree on the authority of the Word of God, and by my faith in Jesus’ righteous, holy name, I am healed. Edema go now!
