Peace of Mind
My child, do you live on a budget? If you, don’t I want to encourage you to sit down and create a budget based on what you make. Don’t spend more than what you earn and give yourself room to live from this payday to the next.
1.Create and live by a budget
It goes along in my opinion with: You shall not murder. (Exodus 20:13)
2 reasons why:
If you’re not living on a budget, you are killing yourself trying to make money and pay your bills. Sometimes when you live on a budget you want to kill yourself. Giggles! However, it will be worth it in the end when you have no debt. You will have peace of mind which goes a long way! When we fail to plan, we plan to fail. If you don’t have a goal – you will probably reach it.
a. A budget is simply a plan!
b. Create a budget and I don’t allow myself to spend more than my budget.
c. A budget helps you to make financial decisions without emotion.
There are times I would love to buy something or do something, but my budget says no! A budget is like a map. We learn how to drive a car, learn how to do our job but there is a lot of help to help you create a budget. Everyone at some point ends up – upside down and you learn from the lesson. You learn what not to do when you make a mistake. Take a financial class to help you to learn. And don’t be so hard on yourself. There is only one person who has never messed up and his name is Jesus. The greatest blessing will be when you discipline yourself to live on a budget and pay your bills off every month. In your budget create funds for entertainment and relaxation. It is such a peaceful and rewarding feeling to know you are debt-free and you owe no man anything except to love him. (Romans 13:8)
