Favor Ain’t Fair!
Beloved, if I could only have one page in the Bible to live my life by and be successful, my prayer would be that it would be Proverbs 3. When I got saved, the first place I read was (Proverbs 3) in the Living Translation Bible. These scriptures are my core values in life, business, and ministry. Listen to these core values and adopt them as your own. Never tire of loyalty and kindness. Hold these virtues tightly. Write them deep within your heart (IF) you want favor with God and man, and you will gain a good reputation.
For good judgment and common sense, then trust the Lord completely; don’t ever trust yourself. In everything you do, put God first, and he will direct you and crown your efforts with success. (Proverbs 2-6 LT) Let me emphasize what I’ve applied to my life for almost forty-five years: If you are truthful, loyal, and kind and wear these truths like a necklace and hide them deep in your heart, THEN you will find FAVOR with God and man and gain a good reputation! Really! I can tell you I have walked in favor of God with both God and man everywhere I go since I received Jesus as my Savior forty-six years ago! When I read it, I believed and received it! I expect Favor! Why? Because I live the Word! The best of all: ‘In everything you do, put God first, and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success!’ I said, ‘Father God, seriously! All I must do is put You first in all I do, and You will direct me and crown everything I do with success?’ I want you to know all these years, I put God first in the real-estate business, and He blessed my socks off. I have put Him first now for over twenty years in the ministry, and He has blessed me and the ministry beyond my wildest dreams or expectations without limits! Try the Word! Prove God. (Malachi 3:10) Test His Word. I assure you – you cannot outgive or outdo our God!
Then lastly, don’t be conceited, sure of your wisdom. Instead, trust and reverence the Lord, and turn your back on evil; when you do that, then you will be given renewed health and vitality. Do you need healing in your body, with vitality to go with it – the answer is in. (Proverbs 3) Do you need healing in your finances and business? The secret to being blessed is Proverbs 3. Read it in the Living Translation; it will bless you beyond belief. I desire all the wisdom and discernment I can have. How about you?
