The Likeness of the Glory of God
My child, Ezekiel had a vision, and it was difficult for him to express it in words, but this is what he saw: as they stood with folded wings, there was a voice from above the dome over their heads. Above the dome, there was something that looked like a throne, sky-blue like a sapphire, with a humanlike figure towering above the throne. From what I could see, from the waist up he looked like burnished bronze and from the waist down like a blazing fire. Brightness everywhere! The way a rainbow springs out of the sky on a rainy day-that’s what it was like. It turned out to be the Glory of God! When I saw all this, I fell to my knees, my face to the ground. Then I heard a voice. He saw what looked to him like the Glory of God. But to describe it in words was virtually impossible. Words cannot contain Me. What he saw was a rainbow that surrounds the throne of God. (Ezekiel 1:26-28 NLT)
In 740 BC the year King Uzziah died Isaiah saw Me and described it like this: I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory! And the posts of the door were shaken by the voice of him who cried out, and the house was filled with smoke. (Isaiah 6:1-4 NKJV) Isaiah said: “Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell amid a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand live coal that he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your iniquity is taken away, and your sin purged.” Also, I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.” I sent him to warn the people of the things to come! (Isaiah 6:5-8 NKJV)
My beloved John fell on his face prostrate as dead when he saw Me, then I laid My hand on Him and said, ‘don’t be afraid!’ I am the First and Last the true and living God - I hold the keys to death, hell, and the grave in My hand. Write down the things you have seen – both now and the things that are to come to warn My people for the time is near. (Revelation 1:17-19 NKJV) Each of My servants had a holy reverence fear of Me, do you? The beginning of wisdom is to fear the Lord God Almighty the creator of the heavens and the earth and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. (Proverbs 9:10 NIV) Each one was called and had an assignment to fulfill and so do you. I sent Ezekiel, John, and Isaiah as My mouthpiece to warn My people of what was ahead, and, in this hour, I am looking for someone who will be My mouthpiece, will you? My time is near, and this is your warning. I am a holy God - majestic in every way!
