Jehovah Rapha – the Lord My Healer
My beloved child, do you need healing? May I introduce you to Jehovah Rapha the Lord our healer? Jehovah-Rapha (more properly Yahweh-Rapha) means “The Lord Who Heals” it is one of the many different names of God. He said, “If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God and do what is right in his sight, obeying his commands and keeping all His decrees, then I will not make you suffer any of the diseases I sent on the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.” (Exodus 15:26 NLT) God uses the term Rapha to describe Himself sixty-nine times in the Bible referring to healing His people. So, Jehovah Rapha can mean “the Lord who restores,” or “the Lord who fixes broken things, to restore, or to mend.
So many times, throughout my life I have needed healing. Every time I have called upon the name of Jehovah Rapha the only One who can heal my body and emotions. In 2004, I had to have both hips replaced due to avascular necrosis. It was challenging to learn to walk again, but God healed me! In 2012, I had shingles on the left side of my face around my eye and ear. I lost my eyesight and hearing. God healed me! January and February 2022 I had Covid double pneumonia. I was very ill, but I stood on the Word listening to healing scriptures and quoting them. I declared by His stripes I am healed.’ (1 Peter 2:24) He sent His Word and healed them all and that includes me. (Psalms 107:20) He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes, we are healed. (Isaiah 53:5 NKJV) I am healed and whole by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Do you need healing? We serve a healing Jesus. Right where you are, whisper His name, and just say, ‘Jesus heal me!’ Now stand on His Word and don’t waver until you see the manifestation in your body. Repent of your sins. “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” (James 5:15) He will not fail you!
