5 Secrets to Know You are Hearing God’s Voice
Beloved one do you assume that you are the originator of your own thoughts. It’s time to rethink that theory if you are a blood-bought child of the Most-High King. The creator of the universe and all that is in it is putting the thoughts and creative ideas in your mind.
1.   How will I know for sure I am hearing God and not me or Satan?
a.   God gives clear-cut, specific directions. Self or Satan often communicates in confusion, uncertain wonderings. The enemy is ever so sly, he uses the same old tricks.
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. (1 Corinthians 14:33 KJV)
You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.  (John 8:44 NLT)

2.   God convicts of specific sins. Self and Satan often accuse you in broad generalities that leave a lingering sense of haunting and unfocused guilt.
And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment. The world’s sin is that it refuses to believe in me. Righteousness is available because I go to the Father, and you will see me no more. Judgment will come because the ruler of this world has already been judged. (John 16:8-14)
Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God, day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. (Revelations 12:10-11 NKJV)
3.   God speaks with 100 percent truth that can be tested by the Word of God. Self and Satan often traffic in lies, deceit, and half-truths.
The enemy will ever so slightly twist the Word to confuse. It may sound like scripture, but if you do not know the Word you will be deceived. Just because someone loves Jesus doesn’t mean they are true believers; they can easily deceive you. You must know the Word of God. Study it and hide it in your heart so you can easily discern a lie from the truth or the twisting of the Word. The enemy knows the Word. People come disguised as wolves in sheep’s clothing and say all the right things and many fall for it. (Matthew 7:15-20) Pay attention to their actions, the way they treat others, honor God, and respect authority. Pay attention! God is speaking. Don’t ignore the red flags and walk-in denial. I believe this is a word for someone today.
The Bible says:
a.   You will know them by their fruit, (works, actions, and deeds).’ (Matthew 7:15-20)
b.   You know them by their love for one another.’ (John 13:35)
c.   Fear of the Lord is the foundation of true knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. (Proverbs 1:7)
d.   “The beginning of wisdom is, ‘Get [skillful and godly] wisdom [it is preeminent]! And with all your acquiring, get understanding [actively seek spiritual discernment, mature comprehension, and logical interpretation]. “Prize wisdom [and exalt her], and she will exalt you; She will honor you if you embrace her. “She will place on your head a garland of grace; She will present you with a crown of beauty and glory.” (Proverbs 4:7-9)
4. God’s voice always leads to a deep, abiding sense of peace. Self or Satan does not.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7)
5. God’s voice is testable and confirmed by the wisdom of many counselors.
Always seek counsel before making any life decision or major purchases. Do not make decisions without the counsel of godly, righteous people whom you respect. In all your getting get wisdom. The Bible says:
My child don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, for they will refresh your soul. They are like jewels on a necklace. They keep you safe on your way, and your feet will not stumble. You can go to bed without fear; you will lie down and sleep soundly. You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, for the Lord is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap. (Proverbs 3:21-26)
Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety. (Proverbs 11:14)
My people perish for lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6)
Use these secrets in your everyday life, on the job, in business if you are hiring someone. You will know someone by their fruits. Look for the fruit! You do hear the voice of God, hone the gift!
