Discerning of Spirits
Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is light best friends with dark? Does Christ go strolling with the Devil? Do trust and mistrust hold hands? Who would think of setting up pagan idols in God’s holy Temple? But that is exactly what we are, each of us a temple in whom God lives. God himself put it this way: “I’ll live in them, move into them; I’ll be their God and they’ll be my people. So, leave the corruption and compromise; leave it for good,” says God. “Don’t link up with those who will pollute you. (2 Corinthians 6:14-17 the Message)
Beloved child, I know all, do all: I change the seasons and guide history, I raise up kings, and bring them down, I provide both intelligence and discernment, I open the depths, tell secrets, see in the dark and light spills out of Me! The God of all your ancestors, all thanks! all praise! I made you wise and strong. And now I’ve shown you what you asked for. (Daniel 2:20-23 the Message) “The secret things belong to the Me the Lord your God, but the things revealed belong to you and to your sons forever, that you may observe all the words of this law. (Deuteronomy 29:29) Have you ever met someone, and red flags went up or you felt uncomfortable in the pit of your stomach? The Holy Spirit is nudging you or warning you something is not right. Pay attention! If you ask Me I will reveal it to you but it may take a little time. Wait! You are discerning by the Spirit that something is wrong and if you ask Me to reveal it to you, I will! I will show you what is hidden in darkness, the secret things, but you must ask Me. Nothing is hidden that will not become evident, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light. (Luke 8:17)
Do not be unequally yoked with those who do not serve or reject Me! What harmony can there be between Christ and the devil? How can a Christian be a partner with one who doesn’t believe? And what union can there be between God’s temple and idols or demons? For you are God’s temple, the home of the living God, and God has said of you, “I will make My home live in them and walk among them, and I will be their God and they shall be my people.” That is why the Lord has said, “Leave them; separate yourselves from them; don’t touch their filthy things, and I will welcome you and be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters.” (2 Corinthians 6:14-18 LB) Don’t link up with those who will pollute you. Many people are delusional in their thinking. They believe they can help someone who doesn’t serve Me, however, the opposite happens they will take you down with them.
There is nothing covered up that will not be revealed and hidden that will not be known. Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed upon the housetops. (Luke 12:2-3) It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to search out a matter. (Proverbs 25:2) Be alert, conscious and aware of what is going on around you at all times! Be strong! Stand firm! Be courageous but in all you do walk in love. (1 Corinthians 16:13-14) When you call upon My name I will hear you, answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not even know. (Jeremiah 33:3) Then you will declare to Me: ‘God of all my ancestors, all thanks! All praise! You made me wise and strong. And now you’ve shown me what I asked for.’
