Flexibility
How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? (Matthew 7:4 NLT)
Oh! My child don’t be like the religious, legalistic, self-righteous people who are not flexible with all the do’s and don’ts for this grieves My heart. They nitpick everything you do – I prefer a flexible heart and a personal relationship with you. Allow Me to help you to understand. One day while My Son Jesus was walking along with His disciples through a ripe field of grain, the disciples were pulling off heads of grain and munching on them because they were hungry. Some Pharisees saw them and like a child tattling, told Jesus his disciples were breaking the Sabbath rules! (Matthew 12:1-2) Jesus said, ‘really? Haven’t you read what David and his companions did when they were hungry, how they entered the Sanctuary and ate fresh bread off the altar, bread only priests were allowed to eat? (Matthew 12:3-4) And didn’t you read in God’s Law that priests carrying out duties break the Sabbath rules all the time yet its not held against them? (Matthew 12:5-8)
There is far more at stake here than religion. Do you have any idea what this Scripture means: ‘I prefer you to have a flexible heart to an inflexible ritual? (Romans 12:9-21) If you knew what this Scripture is talking about you would not be nitpicking like this. You err because you do not know the scriptures, nor the power of God. (Matthew 22:29) My child don’t look at the flaws in others or point them out. Instead pray for them. How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? (Matthew 7:1-5) Focus on Me and allow My Spirit to shine the light of love on your heart exposing the hidden things of darkness to you so you can repent. (1 Corinthians 4:5) I will wash you clean first for there are things in your life that are a stench in My nostrils. (Job 4:8-9) Oh precious one the salvation of your soul, the motivation of your heart – following My commands in obedience is far more important than rules and being flawless. (Joshua 1:8-9) He who is not flexible shall be bent out of shape. Allow My grace to flood your soul. I know you inside out and love you with an everlasting love. Follow Me and walk in love then you will impact many more lives than you will holding their feet to the fire with rules. Love never fails! (1 Corinthians 13:8)
