Plead Your Case
My beloved child learning how to pray and talk with Me like I’m your Daddy is the most important thing you can do. People go to great expense to get a good education, but the most important thing you will ever do is learn how to pray. (Matthew 6:9-13) It will cost you nothing but time! Just spouting off words into the atmosphere is not prayer – talk to Me like you would your best friend. I am a friend that sticks closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24) You can communicate with me when you mess your life up and when things are going well but whatever you do talk to Me. I alone will blot out your sins for My sake and will never think of them again. (Isaiah 43:25-26, Psalms 103:12) So let’s review your situation together, and you can present your case to prove your innocence.
Prayer is joining forces with Me Your Heavenly Father and fellowshipping with Me – carrying out My will on earth as it is in Heaven. (Psalms 23) I can do nothing for you until you ask! Your prayer limits Me – I can do anything, but you must ask Me first. You have not because you ask not! (James 4:2-3) Satan is the God of this world and all its influences. (2 Corinthians 4:4) I made the world and all that is in it, and through Jesus I redeemed humanity! Authority has been restored to you as a believer through Christ Jesus My Son so when you ask Me anything I can move on your behalf, but I can do nothing until you ask! (John 16:23-24)
I refused to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah until I talked it over with Abraham, My friend. He obtained rights and privileges through the covenant, which gave him a legal standing with Me, the Lord. Abraham’s prayer was enlightening – he interceded for Sodom and Gomorrah and said, ‘should not the Judge of all the earth do what is right? Surely, You wouldn’t do such a thing! (Genesis 18:23-25) Other’s prayed and walked in their blood covenant rights and prayed: Joshua prayed and opened the Jordan – he could command the sun, moon, and stars to stand still in the heavens, you can too! Elijah could bring fire out of heaven to consume the altar as well as the sacrifice. David’s men were protected from death in the time of war as long as they remembered the covenant. All you must do is remember your covenant with Me, walk in authority and use your rights and privileges as a believer! (Hebrews 8:6) Pray asking for whatever you desire, and I will give it to you. (Mark 11:22-24)
