The Place of God’s Tender Love and
Deep Compassion
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the Kingdom of God.” “What do you mean?” exclaimed Nicodemus. How can an old man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again?” Jesus replied, “I assure you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You[d]must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it wants. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where it is going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit.”
(John 3:3-8 NLT)
My beloved child have you ever experienced a miracle? If you have witnessed the birth of a baby, you have experienced a miracle. I am the creator of the heavens and the earth and all that is in it. (Colossians 1:16, Psalms 146:6, Isaiah 44:24) I created man out of dirt and quickly I knew it was not good for man to be alone so I made him a helper so they could complete each other. (Genesis 2:18) Then I blessed them and told them to be fruitful and multiply the earth. (Genesis 1:28) A woman who is pregnant with a child in her womb is the most delicate of all beings because she carries ‘new life’. In the Hebrew the word ‘Rechem’ means womb, and it speak of tender love, nurture, and protection. The word ‘Racham in the Hebrew means tender love, deep compassion, mercy and it also means womb. Why is this important? They are both connected because God’s love for us is linked to the womb. It is His tender love, deep compassion and mercy that draws us by His precious blood to be born again.
From beginning to end, the Bible reveals that God’s love is compassionate. His heart is moved by human suffering. He feels pity and sympathy for those in pain and desires to alleviate disease. He sent His Word and healed them all and that includes you. (Psalms 107:20) “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort” (Corinthians 1:3) Jesus the Messiah told Nicodemus unless a man is born again from above, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. Nicodemus didn’t understand. He shouted ‘how can a man go back into his mother’s womb and be born again’? Jesus replied, ‘I assure you no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. Humans can only reproduce human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life. You may not see the Spirit just as you cannot see the wind blow wherever it wants. The Spirit is the same as the wind. Just as you can hear the wind but can’t tell where it comes from or where its going, so you can’t explain how people are born of the Spirit. (John 3:3-8)
There is a womb you can enter, the ‘rechem’ the womb of God’s love and mercy which, tenderly keeps you throughout your life and protects you from all harm. That’s where you live and grow into a child of heaven as you were created to be. Every birth must have a womb. Live in the ‘racham’ – God’s tender mercy and great compassion allowing Him to change you into His image!
