Born to be a Bride
The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend of the bridegroom stands and listens for him and is overjoyed to hear the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete. The bride belongs to the bridegroom. (John 3:29 NLT)
My child from the beginning in ancient Israel a Hebrew wedding would begin with the bridegroom riding on a camel’s back and making a procession like a parade with his family and friends on foot to the bride’s home. There a small crowd would be waiting to welcome everyone. Then the bridegroom was led to one of the tents. For there to be a wedding, the groom had to first make the trip to the bride’s home wherever she was. It is a mystery, but the bridegroom is a shadow of God. You were born to be the bride and your destiny is to be My bride!
I am the bridegroom, and I am coming back again for My bride. In the same way the Bridegroom had to go get his bride – I am coming after My Bride. The Bride never goes to the Bridegroom. A man/bridegroom that finds a wife/Bride finds a good thing and obtains My Favor. (Proverbs 18:22) The bride longs for the bridegroom to return because He will not come alone. “Come, Lord Jesus, and help me to live for you as I wait, watch and work, so that I will not be ashamed at your coming.” A loving bride will keep herself pure for her bridegroom. She will want to please Him. (1 John 2:28)
In the same way you can never reach Me or heaven by yourself, you must first be born again. (John 3:5-8) I come to you right where you are – no matter what your life looks like. I am the Good Shepherd and I come to you and knock on the door of your heart. (John 10:1-21, Psalms 23) Won’t you let Me come in? All you must do is open your heart and let Me in. I will heal your broken heart and bind up your wounds. (Psalms 147:3) Take Me by the hand and allow Me to lead you and guide you in all your ways. (Proverbs 4:11, Psalms 32:8) Don’t try reach Me – let Me come to you and wash you clean, love on you, and restore you. (Isaiah 1:18, 1 John 1:9) It is always the bridegroom, who marries the bride, and the bridegroom’s friend is simply glad to stand with him and hear his vows and it fills My heart with so much joy. (John 3:29)
