Principles of the Word of God that Will Preserve You
Precious one, this was the them Smith Wigglesworth lived by daily, read the Word, consume the Word until it consumes you, believe the Word of God, and act on it and it will serve you well to do likewise. These are four principles in the Word of God we need to preserve and continue.
1.Read the Word of God (Joshua 1:7-9)
2.Consume the Word of God until it consumes you (Jeremiah 15:16, Matthew 4:4)
3.Believe the Word of God (Mark 11:22-24)
4.Act on the Word of God (1 Timothy 5:22)
Some time ago, I was walking through a difficult season and attacked by an oppressive depressive spirit and literally had to do warfare for months. (1 Samuel 30:6) I was doing spiritual warfare, praying in the spirit during the process and began reading the Word of God more than usual daily. (Jude 1:20-21) As I was walking through this process I began to rise above my circumstances. I was encouraged as I read the Word and prayed without outside encouragement. I was not talking to anyone but God about it. God began to give me a ‘New Vision’ of the future, and He would give me little glimpses of it. (Proverbs 29:18)
Suddenly, I was ignited and re-fired by the Holy Spirit. I am so on fire to accomplish the vision and finish strong, more so than ever! I recognized when you feel hopeless you have no vision of the future and the enemy will come in like a flood to steal, kill and destroy you. (John 10:10) Suddenly I received the revelation without a vision my people perish. (Proverbs 13:12) You must have a vision of the future, or you will lose your hope! How do you get hope? You ask God to give you the vision He has for you and listen, then write down what He gives you over the following days ahead. (Habakkuk 2:2-3)
As I studied and meditated on the Word and went about my business, God began dropping new vision in me. If you have received Christ as your Savior, He lives in you and over time He will change your heart and give you His desires then He will begin the process of bringing them to pass. (Psalms 37:4-5) You are an extension cord of God. When you plug into His power, He will ignite the dream in you and re-fire you for His purposes to be fulfilled. I am specifically sharing this for those of you who are older and feel like it’s time to retire. Your finished. Done! No! He is not finished with you. I believe this is a Word for you. God is desires to re-fire you! He is not finished with you.
There is someone reading this right now, and you have a book in you. You know it, but the enemy has lied to you and said, ‘if you wrote a book, who would read it?’ What if you are to write the book for someone in the next generation in your family to leave as a legacy? What if you changed one person’s life because of your obedience? (1 Samuel 15:22, John 14:23) Get back in the Word. Consume the Word of God until it consumes you. Believe and act on the Word of God and allow Him to re-fire you and give you a vision of your future! If God can re-fire me, He can re-fire you! I encourage you to consume the Word of God until it consumes you. Ask God to give you the vision! He will!
