It Takes Time!
Then Jesus suggested, “Let’s get away from the crowds for a while and rest.” For so many people were coming and going that they scarcely had time to eat. (Mark 6:31 LT)
My precious child everyone experiences rejection at some point in life. You are not exempt from being rejected. Rejection is a desire to be apart but not feeling like you fit in, a sense of being unwanted. Do you protect yourself from being rejected? Are you afraid of being rejected so you refuse true love and push it away to protect yourself? When your defense mechanisms begin operating, do you withdraw from others because of a fear of man, fear of failure, fear of rejection or fear of abandonment? Someone who has a deep root of rejection may explode with anger against real or imagined injustice or pain. Those who have been rejected tend to be people pleasers, but when you try to please people you will be disappointed every time, be a God pleaser instead. (Galatians 1:10) Do seek approval from someone? When you shift your thinking from trying to please a man to try to please God your healing will begin.
Rejection destroys your immune system. Perhaps you struggle with self-rejection. How can you know if you struggle with rejection? Do you struggle with fear of being abandoned, oppression, heaviness, loneliness, isolation, unbelief, self-doubt, double-mindedness, distrust God, self and others, shame, insecurity, guilt, fear of rejection (real or imagined) to only name a few? These are clues to having a spirit of rejection. How can you be healed from the wound of rejection?
1. Have a relationship with God and fellowship with Him daily.
(2 Timothy 1:7)
2. Accept your adoption. (Romans 8:15)
3. Accept God’s love. (Jeremiah 31:3)
4. Cultivate a relationship with God by faith daily. (Numbers 23:19
)
5. Relationship with God brings all good gifts. (James 1:17)
6. A relationship with God empowers you to love yourself and your neighbor. (Matthew 22:39)
7. Give God control of your future. Trust Him.
(Romans 8:14 & Proverbs 3:5-6)
8. When you give God control, He can bring forth His plan in your life. (Jeremiah 29:11-13 & 2 Corinthians 2:9-10)
9. Receive communion daily, exchanging your life for the life of Christ. (1 Corinthians 11:23-32 The Amplified Bible)
Communion is the meal that heals! Consider receiving communion daily and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal anything in your heart that you need to repent of. Creating in you a clean heart and renewing a right spirit within. (Psalms 51:10) Healing from the wound of rejection takes time, it’s a process. Spending time daily in quietness in His presence and reading the Word of God will bring forth healing. It is worth the time to be free!
