Your Passage to the Future
Beloved, your seed (tithe/offering/sacrificial seed) is always your bridge out of trouble. The widow of Zarephath used her seed (flour and olive oil) to create a lifetime harvest in the middle of a famine. Elijah, the prophet, showed up and asked the widow to use all the flour and oil she had to bake him a cake, bring it to him and afterward make some for you and your son to eat. ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.’ It was by faith she obeyed and received a lifetime harvest. (1 Kings 17: 7-14) Something you already have is your passage to the future. Whatever God has placed in your hand is always enough to get you out of trouble. Paul said, ‘beloved I wish above all things that you would prosper and succeed even as your soul prospers.’ (3 John 1:2)
Is your soul prospering? God’s heart desires are to prosper and bless you. A farmer knows you must first sow a seed to receive a harvest. The law of sowing and reaping is a universal law, the same as the law of gravity. What goes up must come down. Whatsoever you sow, (that) shall you reap. (Galatians 6:7-9) Whatever seed you sow will unlock the harvest God has promised you. Repeatedly in scripture, we are taught we must do something, then God will move if you want to receive love, you first must love. If you need money, you must first give money. Whatsoever you sow/say, you will receive. (Mark 11:22-24)
What do you need? Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38) You must give it to receive it. Notice you must draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. (James 4:8) You will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:12-13) You must make the first move then God will move on your behalf by faith!
