When God says Wait
My beloved child, Is there anything too hard for God? (Jeremiah 32:17) I declare No! Nothing is too difficult for God! Have you prayed, prayed, waited, and waited faithfully, but still; you have no answer? When you are in a season of waiting, wait! Don’t complain or become impatient. Be still in God’s presence and wait! Wait until He speaks and gives you direction. Don’t get ahead of God and His timing. His timing is perfect. When you wait on the Lord, enter the cleft of the rock covered by Christ our Lord and be at peace. Rest. If you wait on the Father and His timing, He will make it easy to transition into the New. It’s challenging when God is silent, but He has a purpose. You know the Word of God is truth, and He is faithful. When you have no direction, you are waiting on God to give you instructions and open the doors; it’s a time to further prepare for what’s ahead.
When you are waiting:
1. Be still. Spend more time in quietness alone with God. (Psalms 46:10)
2. Pray and listen for His voice at all times. (Jeremiah 33:3, Luke 11:28)
3. Keep a small journal with you at all times and document everything. (Habakkuk 2:2-3)
4. Study the Bible in-depth and gain revelation. (Deuteronomy 6:6-7, Psalms 119:11-12)
5. You have been given a special time to pursue the pursuer. (Jeremiah 29:12-13)
In times past, when I’ve had a window of time where nothing was going on, and I was waiting on the Lord, I stayed too busy. I should have rested more. When he opened the doors, I discovered it was time to get my tennis shoes running and keep up. I have learned a valuable life lesson, when you are in a season of waiting, be at peace and wait. I hear this in my spirit: many have laid in your bed, crying out in the midnight hour for an answer, desiring to know God’s direction. The enemy comes to discourage you in your darkest hour but be of good courage because there is an excellent blessing on the other side of this! Be encouraged! (Deuteronomy 31:6) God has not forgotten you. You have captured God’s attention! The answer is on its way! Who knows Michael and Gabriel may be fighting against the enemy of your destiny in the heavenlies trying to get your answer to you, the same as Daniel? (Daniel 10:1-13) Don’t stop praying while you wait; it unleashes God’s power!
