Don’t Stop Asking and Believing!
Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. (Philippians 4:6-7 Message)
My beloved child, the fourth step to move from fear to faith and live an overcoming life is ‘Requests.’ (Philippians 4:6-7 NKJV) says: ‘Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by 1.Prayer, and 2. Supplication, with 3. Thanksgiving let your 4. Requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Each of the five steps will help you to be an overcomer over worry, anxiety, and fear – which is a spirit the devil is trying to put on you. The word ‘Requests’ in Greek means ‘to be adamant in requesting and demanding assistance to meet tangible needs, such as food, shelter, necessary expenses including paying your taxes and money.’ It creates a picture of someone who insists on or demands that a specific need be met after approaching and speaking to his superior with respect and honor in the New Testament. It also expresses that you possess a full expectation to receive what you have firmly requested. When you pray – pray with authority when asking God.
Jesus Christ died, rose, and ascended to the right hand of the Father and He is praying and interceding for you right this moment. The moment He died the veil was ripped from top to bottom in the Holy of Holies to give you access to walk right into the Throne of God (the Most Holy Place) directly into the presence of God. When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, you were given the authority to take dominion over the enemy and put him under your feet. When he tries to attack you with a spirit of fear, anxiety, or worry – you are dealing with a spirit of darkness, and you have the authority to cast it off.
Fall on your face before Almighty God and ask Him to deliver you reminding Him of His Word. Jesus defeated Satan in the wilderness for forty days and nights declaring, ‘It is written… man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God’! (Matthew 4:4) ‘It is written… God has not given you a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self-discipline! (2 Timothy 1:7) ‘It is written… perfect love casts out ALL fear! (1 John 4:18) Pray and make your requests known to God with authority and fully expect God to honor His Word and do what you requested. I declare that My God shall supply ALL your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus! You shall lack for nothing!
