A Burning Bush Moment
My precious child, there are unique ways I will call you to move forward in your purpose. The second call to leadership is called the Burning Bush anointing. In Exodus 3:1-6) I used a burning bush to call Moses into leadership. Moses was tending the sheep on Mount Sinai’s backside for his father-in-law Jethro when suddenly he saw a burning bush. Moses was amazed the bush was engulfed with flames, but it wasn’t burning up! I saw Moses coming closer, and I spoke to him from the middle of the burning bush, saying, ‘Moses! Moses!’ And He replied, ‘Here I am!’ “It is I the Lord your God, warning you, ‘do not come any closer!’ ‘Take off your shoes, for you are standing on holy ground.’ When Moses heard this, he covered his face because he was afraid to look at Me. (Exodus 3:1-6)
I said, ‘Moses, I have seen the oppression of My people in Egypt, and I have heard their cries because of the harsh slave drivers, and I am aware of their suffering. So, I came to rescue them and lead them into a land that flows with milk and honey. You, Moses, must lead My people out of Egypt into the Promised Land! Immediately Moses protested, saying, ‘I can’t! I am a nobody; I’m not good with words, and I stutter! Who am I to go before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead Your people out of Egypt, and who will believe me?’ I said, ‘Moses, who makes a person’s mouth? This burning bush is a sign that I am with you, I will go with you, and I will speak through you!’ Moses continued protesting against the call I had assigned to him alone. (Exodus 3:7-12) I knew he could do the job and do it well; I believed in him – but he did not believe in himself. Moses was My conduit to lead My people out of bondage. After much debate, he obeyed. (Exodus 4:10-17) I have called you for a specific purpose, and no one can do the job but you! I am with you, and I will go with you everywhere you go! (Genesis 28:15) Stop protesting against Me, telling Me how unqualified you are for the job! I chose you, and I have a purpose for your life too!
