Fear is a Liar
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity or cowardice or fear, but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of sound judgment and personal discipline [abilities that result in a calm, well-balanced mind and self-control]. (2 Timothy 1:7 Amplified)
My precious child, I said in My Word 365 times, ‘Do Not Fear!’ There is a scripture you can meditate on all year long. Fear is a spirit, and it does not come from Me. Every good and perfect gift comes from Me. (James 1:17) I am instructing you, ‘do not be fearful.’ Do not be afraid for the Lord your God is with you! (Joshua 1:7-9) When you allow fear to come in, you do not trust Me, your Heavenly Father. Fear is a liar! The devil has used the same old tricks for generations whispering lies in your ear. When you listen to the enemy’s lies and meditate on them – you open the door for a spirit of fear to come in and become a stronghold. Meditating on the thoughts and lies the enemy whispers to you not only opens the door to fear, but fear will bring his relatives: worry anxiety and panic with it.
How do you break the spirit of fear, worry, anxiety and panic? You break it by taking authority over your thoughts the moment you have them and declare scripture! It is written… ‘God has not given me a spirit of fear, but He has given me power, love, and self-discipline/sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7) When you put your trust in the Lord, He empowers you to stay focused on Him and live a fearless life. It is written… be still and know that I am God! (Psalms 46:10) It is written… the Lord will fight for you, only be still. (Exodus 14:14) It is written… fear not, for I the Lord your God am with you. I will strengthen you. I will help you, and I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10) It is written… I sought the Lord, and He heard me and delivered me from all my fears. (Psalms 34:4) It is written… the one who trusts in the Lord is protected. (Proverbs 29:25) It is written… He will cover my family and me with His feathers, and under his wings, we will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and buckler. I will not fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by day. (Psalms 91:4-5) It is written… when I am afraid, I put my trust in You alone O’ Lord. (Psalms 56:3) It is written… God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. (Psalms 46:1)
When you change your thinking, you will change your world and your circumstances. Focus on the Word of God not the reports of the doctor or news. Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. (Matthew 4:4) Repentance means to change the way you think and turn and go in the opposite direction. Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. (1 John 4:4) If God is for you, who can be against you? With Christ Jesus, we are more than conquerors. (Romans 8:31) You can choose this day to close the door to fear, worry, anxiety, and panic. It may take time but be consistent, taking authority and dominion over your thoughts (the fiery darts of the devil) (lies and fear) and speaking scripture. Put the enemy of your destiny under your feet once and for all, and you will defeat the devil. Don’t give up!
Read the lyrics to fear is a Liar:
When he told you, you’re not good enough – When he told you, you’re not right -
When he told you, you’re not strong enough to put up a good fight.
When he told you, you’re not worthy – When he told you, you’re not loved –
When he told you, you’re not beautiful that you’ll never be enough
Fear he is a liar; he will take your breath – Stop you in your steps.
Fear he is a liar; he will rob your rest, steal your happiness.
Cast your fear in the fire, Cause fear he is a liar.
When he told you were troubled, you’ll forever be alone
When he told you, you should run away; you’ll never find a home.
When he told you, you were dirty, and you should be ashamed.
When he told you, you could be the one that grace could never change.
Fear he is a liar. He will take your breath – Stop you in your steps.
Fear he is a liar; he will rob your rest, steal your happiness.
Cast your fear in the fire, Cause fear he is a liar.
If you struggle with fear of getting the virus, being left alone, not feeling worthy, not loved, never being enough, feeling dirty and ashamed, or that God won’t forgive you for what you have done, the devil is a liar and the father of lies, and he has no truth in him at all. God loves you. He is with you. You are not alone! When you are afraid, put your trust in the Lord. (Psalms 56:3) Focus on Him. He will not fail you!
