Missed Opportunity!

Missed Opportunity
In October 2005, I hosted a Women’s Conference in Franklin, Tennessee. During prayer and ministry, I prayed for a spiritual daughter on the Praise and Worship Team. I rarely remember prophetic words, but I did not forget this. The word I received for her so clearly was, ‘Get Your Passport! God is going to open doors for you to travel outside the country to minister.’ November, December, and January rolled around, and we received an invitation to travel to another country to minister at a Conference. This woman was invited to come with us to minister at the Conference all expenses paid in full. The only problem, she had not gotten her passport and was not able to go! She said she didn’t try to get her passport because she lived in the same state all her life. She had never been anywhere else, much less another country!
When opportunity knocks on your door, if you are not prepared, you will miss it!
I am reminded of the parable Jesus shared in (Matthew 25:1-13) “At the time My coming draws near, heaven’s kingdom realm can be compared to ten maidens who took their oil lamps and went outside to meet the bridegroom and His bride. Five of them were foolish and ill-prepared; they took no extra oil for their lamps. Five of them were wise and sensible; they took flasks of olive oil with their lamps. (Matthew 25:1-4) When the bridegroom didn’t come when they expected, they all grew drowsy and fell asleep. Suddenly, in the middle of the night, they were awakened by the shout ‘Get up! The bridegroom is here! Come out and have an encounter with Him!’ (Matthew 25:5-6) So all the girls got up and trimmed their lamps. But the foolish ones were running out of oil, so they said to the five wise ones, ‘Share your oil with us because our lamps are going out!’ “‘We can’t,’ they replied. ‘We don’t have enough for all of us. You’ll have to go and buy some for yourselves!’ (Matthew 25:7-9) “While the five girls were out buying oil, the bridegroom appeared. Those who were ready and waiting were escorted inside with Him and the wedding party to enjoy the feast. And then the door was locked. Later, the five foolish girls came running up to the door and pleaded, ‘Lord, Lord, let us come in!’ “But He called back, ‘Go away! Do I know you? I can assure you I don’t even know you!’ “That is the reason you should always stay awake and be alert because you don’t know the day or hour when the Bridegroom will appear.” (Matthew 25:10-13)
Preparation is important! If you are not prepared in life, you will miss many opportunities. It is your responsibility to study to show yourself approved. (2 Timothy 2:15) Prepare yourself for eternity now! You don’t want to be like the five virgins who were not prepared or equipped for the bridegroom’s arrival. Who knows they may have been staying up all night and sleeping all day, playing games, hanging out with their friends doing what they wanted to do? However, they were not ready when the most critical event in their lives took place. I believe someone is reading this devotional who needs to get their passport now! Prepare yourself while there is time. Opportunity is about to knock on your door!

My Daily Declarations
Pray this out loud over your day:
Father God, I come boldly before your throne (Hebrews 4:16) and thank you for this beautiful day as I dedicate it to You! I declare and decree on the authority of the Word of God I am healthy, I am wealthy in every area of my life, and I am wise beyond my years. I have great discernment and receive revelation as I study the Word of God. I boldly confess I am loved, called and chosen. I am anointed, appointed, equipped and enabled by the power of the Holy Spirit that works mightily within me. I am a carrier of the fire of the Holy Ghost igniting the flame in others, everywhere I go. I declare and decree I live, breathe, move and serve powerfully under the shelter of the Jehovah Yahweh. (Psalms 91)
I declare:
I believe God’s Word is true and I am who God’s Word says I am, I can have what God’s Word says I have. I can do what God’s Word says I can do. I am rich in every way and generous on every occasion. There is no lack in Heaven, I remove every block and hinderance releasing all the resources with my name on it. I say laborers come forth to help me build the Kingdom of God therefore it is established in Jesus name. (Matthew 9:35-38) I am the child of a King, therefore I will not leave home without wearing my invisible crown. I am healed and whole in every area of my life. God has called me to be a healer and deliverer to set His people free from every form of earthly bondage. He has chosen me to pull leaders up, push them out and position them for their purpose and calling as Jesus did. I have entered the ‘Rest of God’ and I am staying in that peaceful place and I declare I will not allow the enemy to rock my world.(Hebrews 4:1-16) Peace belongs to me because I am a blood bought daughter of a King, therefore I trust you Abba Father. I value and sense Your presence today Father. The Holy Spirit lives within me, He goes before me, walks beside me and He is my rear guard. (Isaiah 58:8, Isaiah 52:12) You O’ Lord order my steps and my stops. (Psalms 37:23)
I Declare:
I declare and decree on the authority of the Word of God I am favored, I have favor with both God and man in all I do in Jesus name. I am blessed and highly favored of the Lord, (Proverbs 3:3-4) divine spiritual order is in my home, body, life and family. I am renewing my mind daily, disciplining myself by washing it with the Word. I guard my heart for out of me flows a well spring of life not the issues of life because I am healed and whole in every area of my life because You O’ Lord are the CEO and President of my life. I declare divine protection and restoration over my family and I today. Divine appointments are happening every where I go.
I Declare:
I declare and decree that No weapon formed against my family and I can prosper or succeed and every tongue that (speaks against) rises up against us in judgement we condemn it, for this is the heritage of the children of the Most High God. (Isaiah 54:17) I declare and decree that me and my house shall be saved, every single member of my family, not one member of my family will perish in Jesus name. I release them now to the Father and I trust you Father God with them. (Acts 6:31) I walk by faith and not by sight. (2 Corinthians 5:7) I trust God with everything that goes on in my life and with each member of my family because God is at work turning all things around for my good and His glory because I love Him. (Romans 8:28) I seal my declarations with the Blood of Jesus, the Word of God and the Holy Spirit which empowers me therefore it is established this day in the Holy Righteous name of Jesus. Amen.
Copy these daily declarations and use them then watch how Abba Father blesses you in 2020!
