7 Keys to Apply When You Feel Stuck
Beloved one, when you were a child did you ever play ‘stuck in the mud?’ If someone tagged you, you would have to remain in the same spot until someone else ‘unstuck’ or freed you. Perhaps there are areas of your life where you feel stuck and unable to move forward. Stop waiting for someone to come along and change your situation. You may feel stuck on your job, you may be experiencing a health issue that lingers, or perhaps you are unemployed and need a job and feel stuck. Raising your children at times can feel as if life is not moving at all. Perhaps you are waiting on God to bring your spouse or longing to have a baby each situation can be very challenging.
God knew there would be circumstances so difficult we would often question whether He really loves us and is with us in our suffering. No matter how difficult or dark the season you find yourself walking through, God is with you. (Genesis 28:15) He promised to meet you in your pain and to help you, saying, “fear not, for I am with you; be not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10). Jesus sees the longing of your heart. No matter the situation you are in God is with you and desires to be Lord over your heart and life. He desires to draw you closer to Him and know that He is a very present help in times of trouble. (Psalms 46:1) Over the next six days I am going to share with you seven keys to apply to your life when you feel stuck beginning with the first key:
1. Pray
Talk to God like He’s your daddy because He is. Tell Him about your situation and ask Him to help you and give you a revelation of why you are in this place. When Jonah was in the belly of the whale, he was stuck, helpless, and cried out to God. “From inside the whale, Jonah cried out to the LORD his God, saying: ‘In my distress, I called to the Lord, and He answered me. From the belly of Sheol, I called for help, and You heard my voice.’” (Jonah 2:1-2) You can cry out to the Lord right where you are in the middle of your circumstances even if you are the one who got yourself in this mess and He will answer you! Jonah was physically stuck, and God heard his cry! He will hear and answer you too! (Jeremiah 33:3)
